Equifax FAQ

Adding positive results to a credit report?
I have several loans reported to TransUnion but not Experian or Equifax. How can I bring these reported to Experian or Equifax. I contacted the bank and be told TransUnion should report to the other two. Is this true? If not how can I personally carry the info added. If needed, I'm willing to reimburse a small fee. Although, I'm guessing I can do it for free. Isn't this considered undue reporting practices?

Can I completely dissolve a credit card I a moment ago signed up for?
I have recovering credit (which is the ''good'' rating very soon as far as Experian Equifax, and Transunion are concerned). I only enjoy two credit cards and decided to stir for one more. I signed up for a First Premier Platinum that I get in the communication. I haven't gotten my card and it's been 3 weeks. I call and they told me to wait two more days and my first reimbursement was due on the 16th of this month. (they charge you $179 contained by activation fees on sign up for the $500 card).I've read nothing but complaints and horror stories NONSTOP roughly First Premier. Being that it's been smaller amount than 30 days and I haven't received, activated, or used my card, can I retract this account beside minimal damage to my credit history? Will it be mostly for the inquiry or will it show and clear and closed account as capably? And if so, would that open/closed account hurt my win?

Can you hold debts within collection if they don't appear on your credit reports??
I have a company trying to collect a debt of approximately $10K from when I be in college a few years ago and they voice that they are collecting on behalf of the college. I have be looking through my Equifax and Experian credit reports and neither one shows any sort of mention of this debt or the name of the company trying to collect the debt. I enjoy gotten notices from this company and they appear legit (http://www.windhampros.com/), but it seem weird to me that at hand is no mention of this debt on the 2 reports. Now to the questions ... if it is not on these reports, it shouldn't affect me if I apply for other credit or alter my credit win, right? I may need to bring a car loan soon as mine is on the channel out unfortunately. Also, how can I check out the legitimacy of this debt if it's not on my credit report?? Any info would be greatly apprecated!

Credit Scores equal beside different companies?
I checked my credit report and score within June 2005 with Equifax and freshly now (January 2007) next to TransUnion. While websites explicitly state that credit reports may differ among these companies, I can't find anything on the credit scores. Are those similar? For example, suppose I rate a 650 with TransUnion simply now; would it be around that same number if I checked next to Equifax or Experian?

Credit Union getting different credit gain?
I am looking to get a coupé loan from my credit union. The strange entity was that the credit alliance got highly developed scores than when I pulled my own credit report from both Equifax and Experian. I pulled my report the sunshine after the credit union did. Was wondering if the credit association uses a different type of "score" when pulling for a car loan. Thanks contained by advance.LC

Disputed Item, delted on single one Credit Bureau, what roughly speaking the other 2?
I recently have a negative charge-off that I rewarded in full removed from Equifax. I did not dispute this item w/ Trans Union or Experian because I didn't want my mark to go process down by disputing items, so i only contacted Equifax. The compensated charge-off has be deleted from Equifax and in a minute I think it is just fair that TU and Experian remove this derogitory item as okay as I am trying to obtain a mortgage and this is notably affecting my score. Once this get removed, my Equifax score go up over 100 points. If i Dispute this with the other 2 chief bureaus, can the colleciton agency come back and enunciate that they won't delete it from the TU and Experian? Why would they remove it from one bureau and not the other 2, can this happen, or since it is delete from Equifax, the other 2 bureaus have to report matching thing? I don't want to ruin my probability and want to take watchfulness of this matter the best channel possible. Let me know if anyone has any suggestion! Thanks!

Do I call for a devotion near the credit agencies to dispute any unpromising credit items by e-mail.?
Do I need a bias with Experian, Equifax, and Transunion to know how to dispute credit by mail?

Do loan underwriters hold the right to contact your creditors directly ?
Or, are they required to rely on credit reporting such as Transunion, Equifax, or Experian score reporting? I would also similar to to know if an underwriter contacts your creditor directly must s/he notify you verbally or contained by writing? Thanks!

Does anyone know any lend company within Nashville,Tn.?
That bases their loans on the TransUnion credit score? Of the three credit scores I own TransUnion is the best. It is higher than Experian and Equifax. I am trying to gain a loan to start a small business and I'm having problems. I hold already been to Prosper.com and they own their own system of scoring. When they got through they have my Experian score(which is the one they use) down to 520. That's crazy! They were pretty much a final resort for me but then I realize my TransUnion score is 700.I am getting the reaction that not many lenders use that one though. HELP!

Equifax Score and Experian Score Vary by a immense amount...Is it majority?
In 2006, I paid over $10,000 to different creditors to settle out my credit card debt. I in a minute have 7 gloomy items on my credit report, and 3 positive ones (1 cc that has never be late, and 2 student loans). I do get that it will take time to rearrange my credit score but couple of things i looked-for to ask:1. My Equifax score is 57 points superior than my Experian score...is that usual? although both are not good.2. I am hoping to buy a condo within 2-3 years from now. Would my chalk up rise if i keep making payments in good time to my student loans, and buy like groceries etc on my unscrew credit card and pay it stale in full respectively month?3. I am also considering a Secured Credit Card. How would another entry into my credit report affect my credit score?

Financial Woes?
First of all, I'm a junior within college. I'm clueless about finances. I own three high interest rate credit cards. One have a $1500 limit, and I own about $1200 on it. One have a $500 limit, and I hold about $400 on it. Another have a $300 limit, and I own about $200 on it. Most of this is due to medical bills. I know that medical bills are a priority to money off, so I'd a bit pay a monthly credit card bill than failure to pay on those. I've never been behind on a credit payment. My credit rack up with Equifax is 625. I'm trying to my financial situation. My mother told me to apply for a bunch of lower interest rate credit cards and later transfer my symmetry to it and close my other credit cards, but I'm finding out that looks bad beside so many inquiries into my credit and near closing my credit card accounts that have be open the longest. I'm really confused. I don't know what to do. Advice?
