Would it be smart to put my college bill on my credit card? This coming semester during my senior year of college, I will be
This coming semester during my senior year of college, I will be short about $2,000 concerning my academy bill. Student loan companies will not consider me despite my good credit win in the upper 700's, since I own been building credit for simply 5 months and cannot find a co-signer. I do have a credit card that I could put the conservatory bill on (and since I will have a nice charge this summer, will most likely enjoy the credit card payed off several months after graduate in May '07.) Would it be stupid to a short time ago put my school bill on the credit card? Should I try to find a co-singer for a student loan instead, since the interest rate would be lower? Or would that not really situation since I'd most likely hold it payed off contained by a few months anyway?
If something happen and you cant pay your arts school loan back they will capture the money whether they take it from your co-signer or garnsih your wages even when you are making subsequent to nothing. A credit card company can singular put a bad entry on your credit report. Of course a arts school loan is usually a bajillion times better interest rate than your typical credit card and has sure protection and rights by law so that self said if you have probably you will pay put money on the loan in full within a timely basis and enjoy someone who would co-sign, go for the arts school loan.

Your credit card interest will be track too high !!
No, you'll be paying 21% per month on the unpd balance, plus any hugh tardy charges. Do the math, you did take math SAT's. Go for the lowest rate where on earth you don't have to fashion any pmts till after you grad.
Have you tried to get a federal stafford loan? All students are eligible. If so, it is ok to put is on a credit card as a end resort. Some alternative loans have dignified interest rates. Another alternative if seeking scholarships. There are plentiful scholarships that budge unclaimed. Ask a librarian or professor for details.
Answers: that depends...if the credit card has a really clothed interest rate, and you can make minimum monthly payments until the summer, and after pay it stale in the summer for sure, you'll boost up your credit a TON even though it's already correct, more good can't hurt! But student loans are right also, low interest and maybe import tax deductible? Plus you can defer them for 6 months if it is a true student loan and then work on paying them stale then. So i guess it's roughly timing and interest rates.plus maybe you'll enjoy a big emergency somehow and need the money from the credit card..write a pro and con index for both things, and look them over, it will make the ruling much easier i think to see it printed :) GOOD LUCK!
i would say, try to bring back a co-signer. if you can't find a co-signer then you enjoy to put it on the credit card.
if you have a few weeks in the past you have to remuneration, apply for a new credit card that offer the 0% APR promotion. this way you own (usually 6 months or more) before you hold to pay interest (much resembling a student loan). be sure that after you put the charge on it you put it away, cut it up, freeze it...etc. and pay as much as you can beforehand the promotional period is up because the APR is going to be crazy.
don't verbs... after all, its senior year!! i hold had such a headache trying to nouns my schooling lately but since may is around the corner, i have thrown together a plan to rate. you can do it too! :-)
