My Husband has a civil judgement against him contained by NJ, and i am curious to how that will affect me. We own a house together, and have communal bank accounts. Can they come after our integrated property?
Unfortunately if the house is in both name then yes they can put a lien against the property...find out if the lien is against him or against the property...I would advocate if they havent placed the lien against the property and just him next you want to refinance as quickly as possible and temporarily remove his first name from the property so that you can keep your home contained by tact. I have help couples through situations like these...Feel free to email me for other pointers or to give a hand you get started. I am a mortgage supporter and would be extremely happy to give support to.
Your joint property is incontestably 'up for grabs' if: Your husbands judgement was established after the marriage ceremony AND the judgement does not specifically exclude your residence.

If you don't have an attorney, I strongly suggest you go and get one. An attorney is your best defence against a judgement and may be your lone hope in retaining your home, your investments and your retirements.

Good luck and I hope this help.

Answers:    not sure, maybe u should hire a advocate.
