Why would someone do this after stealing my credit card #? I have NO model how but someone was using my credit card

I have NO model how but someone was using my credit card to buy ITUNES online. I get my statement today and the total amount they charged came out to something like $25.00. If someone stole my credit card #, why would they only charge $25 to it and not more?
And anyone know how this could enjoy happened? I did not lose my card.

Who can know what is in the mind of a theif? Be thankful it was in recent times $25 it could have be more. You should :
1. contact your credit card company and cancel that card & uncap a new vindication.
2. Check your credit report & call your credit card companies to see if any other cards hold been misused (you mmight be a sufferer of identity theft). If they have report this to adjectives three credit agencies (experian, equifax & transunion)
contact itunes to make sure that they didn't purely get accounts mixed up (yours near someone elses) or that someone in your house isn't using your card.

Because if they went on a gibbering spending spree - it would set off a red flag beside your credit card company and they would freeze the card until they spoke with you and confirmed that you made those purchases.

By just spending 25.00 - it would not show as unusual activity on your account- so the card would not be frozen.
If they carry lucky - you are one of those people who does not look at their credit card statement respectively month so you would not notice the charge and they could maintain using the card. You could enjoy had a hacker on your computer, you could own used it somewhere dining out, shopping and them taking your credit card # down and shopping with it. I'd nickname the credit card company and report it, also keep an I out on your statement, you should know how to monitor it online and make sure that's adjectives the stole.

No rhyme or principle. Just make sure you contact your credit card company and consent to them know about this situation. No instrument of knowing how it happened, near are a lot of ways it could enjoy happened. Just be glad you don't hold to pay for it or be responsible for it. Let your credit card service know as soon as possible.

Just contact your credit card company and profile a dispute. They are usually very right at resolving those. No worries!

OK you say you still own your card. That means when you go somewhere to purches somthing with the card someone be watching when you used your code and got your number rotten of a recept. And why only $25. they did that to see if it would work. if you do not cancell that card you could see more charges subsequent month
