my wifes is also blocked.
how do i check my credit/ unblock it?

Answers: a fraud alert may be on your credit accounts.

You may hold inadvertently put this on there and forgot something like it.
OR
Sometimes special credit products you may have signed up for may enjoy automatically enrolled you contained by a fraud alert program.

In any event a quick phone call to the credit bureaus would let yo know if this is the defence.
