Why do "Rebates"exist? I am furious with REBATES. Can someone please explain to me WHY

I am furious with REBATES.
Can someone please explain to me WHY rebates exist and what are they upright for, bucz it sure is no good for the comsumer.

I don't figure out ... why do they make you so angry? They're so you can try a product for free ... or at least for the cost of a stamp. Sometimes I use a coupon on the item and later send in for the rebate and gross money on the deal! If you got cheated on a rebate you necessitate to get on the phone to the manufacturer. If someone is cheating inhabitants on rebates and they do it enough they can achieve into some legal trouble.

that's exactly what i'm confused about..wat is the point of them?? wastes soo much time...

1. Inventories occupy space. And taking more space = more expenses for business. that`s why, rebates is a good tool to attract customer to purchase those inventory.
2. People loves free and/or cheap stuff. Rebates bequeath customers an incentive to purchase.
3. With Main-in rebates, you will have to offer the business money first and get your money back subsequently (few weeks to few months or never), this will increase business cash flow. They can use those cash to do investment, pay packet expense, and others.
