Why are they calling me? Collection Agency call for ex-husband's grandma today.? I don't mind passing on the message, but what I'm really curious
I don't mind passing on the message, but what I'm really curious give or take a few is how they got MY number.
* I get this number after we seperated if not after the
divorce be final.
* While we live in one and the same state - we live in different
towns and they know where on earth she lives.
There are only two things I can have an idea that of as to how they got my number:
1) Obviously, someone give them my number (possibly to avoid these calls?).
2) I rented their house bad of them when they moved out of town. Assuming they even had her previous address - could they own traced the numbers for that address not realizing that the town they live within has a different prefix.
Just thought I don`t know someone on her may have worked for a collection agency and have some experience w/this. Any thoughts?
Hello,
I have encounter this problem you can go to an online site source and put your number on the
NATIONAL DO NOT CALL REGISTRY This is moral for 5 yrs
https://www.donotcall.gov/register/reg.a...
I believe this site is free
if not look for one to be precise this is for all populace you do not want calling you voice this to them when they call. its ellegal to harrass they own to honor this or can be sued
Thanks melissa
Tell them the person they are calling for does not live here and to please put your mark and number on their do not call chronicle.
What it sounds like she have filled out a form lately and used your number as her contact information. That is the ONLY reason that a collector should be calling you. What you obligation to do is let them know that they enjoy the wrong number and then bequeath them your ex's number to get surrounded by contact with her. That should do it.
It sounds like you've answered your own interrogate.
Answers: Collection agencies try very firm to get surrounded by touch with anyone who might know how to get the message where on earth they want.
I have a technically unusual last signature - when I was 12, I received a phone up from an agency trying to collect from someone with impossible to tell apart name. I explained that in attendance was no means of access this was me - I'd never have a credit card. The person on the phone started to try and argue near me, so I told them I was 12 and I'd be positive to let them speak to my father. They be very surprised and asked "You are simply 12?" When I confirmed this and again offered to let them speak to my dad, they said, "No, that's okay." and never call again.
But, talk roughly speaking some serious sleuthing! This was YEARS ago - passageway before Internet - and somehow, they found me! I wasn't contained by the phone book (this was a the individual phone line and contained by my dad's name) so I have NO IDEA how they traced me!
Do give an account them that you have passed the message as best you can, but that they shouldn't ring up you. You don't want to be a message service.
Best of luck!
Call the phone company and switch your phone number. Being on the Do Not Call Registry does not stop collection agency's from calling you. If they continue to phone call, tell them the personality nolonger lives at that address, and tell them to NEVER give the name you again. Tehn contact the phone company.
