Well, it is one of their ways to brand money out of u. Just make sure you own enough fund up to that time charging your card. Banks are businesses, not charities. The purpose of a business is to make money. If you can't give the impression of being get rid of the overdraft problem, after cut your debit card in partly and use cash instead.
