I use Wells Fargo but there are alot of fees and within were more at Bank of America. Im underneath the understanding that Credit Unions are the best to run with. Good Luck to your son.

There's two bank that I go through for funds. HSBC for one, because it has no fees, and have a 5.05% interest rate. I also just throw mine within paypal for a while, and their money market is at impossible to tell apart rate most of the time. HSBC is online though, and you can find it with google.
