What is a credit card billing cycle?

When someone has a billing cycle of like ok let say the 3rd of a month. Does this mean you enjoy until the 3rd of every month to make a payment up to that time you get Interest on your purchases? So a credit card company must recieve your payment beforehand the 3rd or on the 3rd to avoid a low credit score and interest?

Answers:
A billing cycle refers to the number of days contained by between billing statements. For example, if your billing cycle ended on the 15th, your actual payment wouldn't be due until any the end of the month or the first of the next month. Any purchases charged to the credit card after the 15th of that faddy month wouldn't be put on a bill until the end of the next month's cycle (the 15th of the subsequent month).

Billing cycle ends June 15, payment due June 30 or so. And purchases after June 15 won't have to be rewarded for until the end of July.
