What If I Purposely Ruin My Credit? Not my credit, my mom's. I have only just had to bear

Not my credit, my mom's. I have only just had to bear over my mom's finances as she is becoming more and more mentally disabled and unstable. Her monthly disability and what I give her equals $1250. Her mortgage, utilities, food and prescriptions are roughly $1250, sometimes more. Her credit debt is in the region of $7000, with a minimum of in the order of $250/month. She constantly gets credit card offer and when she gets manic she think she's going to die soon, so she might as well BUY STUFF!! We usually return it the subsequent day. A credit counseling company suggested she defaulting to ruin her credit... bankruptcy won't aid her. She needs to not know how to get credit. Any thoughts?
If you have taken over her finances because she is mentally disabled, it seem like you could enjoy her declared incompetent/incapacitated, and then prevent her from ever getting credit by herself again. No obligation to deliberately ruin anyone's credit.

If she really, really can't income even the smallest amount on these cards, and there is no oblige available elsewhere, such as family, friends, or charities, consequently the only prospect would seem to be collapse.
You entail a new conseling company.

Getting a credit card beside intent to default on it is terribly close to criminal fraud.

And, ruining her credit won't prevent her from getting offers; she'll still grasp offers from the bottom-feeders.

You enjoy two options:
1) Convince her to put her money into a trust fund, near you the trustee and her the beneficiary.
She would be entrusting her money to you for her benefit, which explains the definitions of the scientific terms.
You would later be responsible for giving her enough money to live on.

2) Go previously a judge and hold her declared "mentally incompetent". That would take at lowest a few consultations with a legal representative and a shrink.

Answers:    I wouldn't obviously ruin her credit, there's a lot of hassle that go along with that. Endless phone call, letters, liens, court cases.

Your best bet would be to simply opt-out of the credit card offer. Check out this website for opting out: http://www.creditsourceonline.com/opt-ou...
Will she grant you Power of Attorney? You can run full control of her finances that way.

And kudos to you for taking strictness of your Mom !!
