What have to be your credit gain to catch pre-approved?

Like the first poster said, it depends on what type of pre-approval you are looking for.

Most of the ones I see look for at least a 525 chalk up on Equifax, minimum $2,000.00 income, in the bureau at lowest possible 3-years and no major derog.
I assume you are talking in the region of a credit card offer. Each credit card issuer have its own criteria to determine who they send offer to. They pay the credit bureaus to provide list of people who come upon their criteria. Some issuers want to target people next to high score, but some subprime issuers purposely target people beside low scores and large debt, because they peddle cards with glorious interest rates and a lot of fees, and know some folks will sign up even if it's a rotten deal.

And remember that "pre-approved" does not anticipate you are guaranteed to BE approved. The fine print will say that they reserve the right to verbs your credit file again and afterwards make a conclusion after you apply.

So it comes down to there is no specific evaluation that will determine if you get a pre-approved contribute.
