What does the Date of Last Activity on your credit report ACTUALLY imply? Is the DOLA a matter of one of the following or something

Is the DOLA a matter of one of the following or something else:
1) When you concluding used the account?
2) When you ending paid the justification?
3) When that account go delinquent?
4) When your account first go bad?
5) When the creditor closed or charged rotten your account?
6) When the creditor sold your picture to a collections agency?

There are so many variant, I know. But, I never really understood what the Date of Last Activity really process.

Thanks!
It depends on the type of account. Credit card accounts it is date of flurry (usage). If it is a collection account, later it is the later of 2 or 4.
Meaning, if say aloud Jan 2007 you stopped paying your credit card, and it went to collection 6months subsequent. Your DOLA is Jan 2007. If however you decide to gross a $5 payment contained by Feb of 2008, your DOLA is now Feb 2008. The downside near something like to be precise if you have a collection to be precise 6.5years old and take-home pay it, that is very soon on your credit report for ANOTHER 7years. If it wasnt paid for 7 more months, it would own been delete.

And no, the creditor can NOT have your DOLA as the date they sold the description. Some collection agencies try this so that they can report the debts to the bureaus, but it is illegal.
From Experian:

This is the date the consumer made his/her last money on the account. If this date is unattainable, it will be the date the credit grantor last reported information to Experian. Contact the subscriber next to the most recent report date to learn more just about the debtor's present location and financial situation.
As usual, Echo is right on target.

Just to attach one thing. By imperative, the person who posts this to your credit report is required to endow with the credit bureau, within 90 days of posting this info, the actual date of the delinquency.

This is where on earth the "demand to validate" memorandum comes in. You are order the creditor/collection agency to show you proof of this date. They can NOT just pick a date out of the hood.

No delinquency date...then they can't officially list this on your report.
