Challenging the info on a credit report? If I dispute info with experian and the results are surrounded by
If I dispute info with experian and the results are surrounded by my favor, must I also challenge the info beside the other two credit agencies or will the collectors remove thoughs also?
You have to convey the info to all 3 agencies.
yes they are 3 separate entities. And depending on who the collectors are.
If it be for medical billing/debt - collections then yes because they are contracted next to an insurance and will do it as a service.
But a debt like credit cards. it's a 50/50 break if they do or not. But it doesn't really matter. You should convey a copy of the documentation to the other 2 bureaus thus w/ the proof they will remove it. As long as the collection agencies don't re-report it your fine. (and they shouldn't )
Answers: You must dispute the information with respectively of the bureaus. They are seperate entities and do not share information. (They are basically competitors and specifically one of the reasons they don't share the info.) You can also dispute it near the original creditor and the creditor have 30 days to verify the information and have it removed from adjectives the bureaus it reported the debt to, or face fines. The association below contains sample packages you can send to the creditors, in recent times in luggage you don't know where to start.
Vanilla is right. You stipulation to dispute the info with respectively credit bureau, unless the creditor sends the corrected info to each credit bureau, which is unlikely since they hold no incentive to do so and it costs them money to have someone transport out the info.
