Should I trust the credit bureaus? Experian sent me a letter today within the mail asking me to
Answers:
The previous push for is terrible.
To accord with this, you must first follow the law. That vehicle read the Fair Credit Reporting Act. All the answers you need are right in attendance.
Lets review.....
Credit bureaus only report what they are given. They don't know if the info is accurate or not, they merely report it.
When you dispute something, they would like to know who you are and if their information is accurate. I see no mar in sending them a copy of your drivers license, but NEVER distribute them copies of bank statements, or other personal information. All the info they have need of is on your drivers license.
DO NOT call the credit bureau. You want to create a dissertation trail, so that if you need to sue anyone you can prove that you contacted someone. If you want to ring up Experian go ahead, but follow it up next to a letter. Send adjectives letters by certified letters so you can prove you contacted them.
So your first step is to send Experian a dispute note (see example letters below) and include a copy of your drivers license. If this dispute involves suspicion of identity pilfering, you may need to include an affidavid.
At duplicate time, send a memo to Cavalry. This is your "damand to validate" letter. You are recitation Cavalry to prove you owe this debt, and they must supply you with copies of bills, contracts, and everything that be used to calculate what you owe. They hold 30 days to respond to this letter.
Remember, it's NOT your responsibility to prove you DON'T owe this debt. They own to prove it.
If they do not respond to this letter, dispatch a copy along with another constraint to Experian to remove the listing due to "lack of validation".
If, after adjectives these letters are sent, the information bank is still on your report, sue them! It's easy to do within small claims court. I've done it, and I'm helping others do it too.
Read the links below. If you need further guidance or help contact me. I am not a legal representative or credit counsoler, but someone who has be down this road many times and is helping others.

credit bureaus suck. the explanation you only find the collections on the experian credit is because not adjectives creditors report to all three bureaus. it costs money to do that and some inhabitants just report to one or two individual. as far as your collections go, don't dispute it beside Cavalry Portfolio. they don't care if you dispute it or not, adjectives they care roughly is getting paid for the amount. Credit disputes near the bureaus takes awhile bcuz they are slothful and like to drag *** on everything. give the name experian and try to speak with a physical human human being and then dispute it. forget in the region of cavalry and let them be. run straight to the source and not through the messenger. and i'm not sure why experian would even want your DL and bank statements. they enjoy your social security number already so they could well find that info out themselves. experian has nought to gain from this collections. they only report information, not collect any fees for the collections. contact ata7t and verify who the collections agency be that took the collections. if they verify it's cavalry then it's legit. at lowest as far as the actual collections go. but still dispute it next to experian and at&t
And. As pertaining to Cavalry Portfolio.
I in recent times filed a complaint near the Federal Trade Commission in regard to a Cavalry collection AT&T account of which I hold no knowledge. I suggest you do one and the same. It's easy to do on rank. I have see others in this forum mention Cavalry.
I own seen Cavalry mentioned a few times surrounded by this forum, always concerning an AT&T account. Lets carry everyone to file a complaint who have the same issue beside Cavalry. FTC won't ignore the issue.
