I'm making my mortgage payment on time and I am surrounded by the process of a short sell. I was told that I could pace away without oweing the balance. However, I want to know.would a short vend report on my credit report as a repo and a negative credit score?

Who told you that you could hike away without owing the balance? Usually the lender will furnish you a tax form 1099 for the balance owed that you will own to claim as income.

you do get a 1099 at the end of the year but it is better than going to foreclosure- if you are making the payments on time- don't do a short sale- it does affect your credit
