Removing a couple older easier said than done credit inquiries that resulted contained by no credit extended? I have a pretty perfect credit score from two of the bureaus,

I have a pretty perfect credit score from two of the bureaus, but my Experian gain is 36 points lower because of a couple of credit inquiries on behalf of department stores (Kohl's and Express) which resulted in rock-hard checks and no credit extended. (I believe I was denied credit because I have no prior credit history at that point--about two years ago--however, I never went through the motions to formally investigate the reason within the proper time frame). Of course at the time I didn't realize the ramification of these credit applications. I didn't even want to use the cards; I just required the 10% discounts promised.

Now I'm trying to build my credit but these denials of credit (I believe two instances from Kohl's and one from Express), which all go through Experian, still haunt my Experian credit evaluation. Is there any instrument I can dispute these inquiries or somehow get rid of them? Can I claim I didn't approve them? I don't conjecture I was even notify of the impending credit checks.
Spiff is correct, these should be dropping sour your report real soon.

But I seriously doubt that three inquiries are going to hurt your mark by 36 points. They normally singular hurt you a couple point per pull.. Inquiries are solely a tiny fraction of the formula used to calculate your evaluation.

I would take another look at your credit report and see if something else is cause the problem.
You have nil to worry roughly speaking.

In the first place being turned down for credit cards does not show on your credit and does not affect your ranking at all.

Second inquiries single show for 24-months and only affect score for about 6-8 months so mortal as old as these are they are have no affect on your score.

Answers:    Hard inquiraries to your credit report will drop off after 2 years as per the FCRA. So a short time ago let time make well it. If they (Experian) has one-time to do so, then by adjectives means notify them and wallet a complaint.

Hope this answers your query
Also, it is very mundane for there to be differences contained by your score. Not adjectives creditors report to all three bureaus and they update at different times to different bureaus.

You should also be sure you are looking at FICO score from all three. TransUnion and Experian similar to to give you their Fako score (different scale).
