Refused a Nationwide Debit/Credit card? I have applied several times for a card except the 'cash card'
I have applied several times for a card except the 'cash card' I already have next to Nationwide, and each time enjoy been refuse. The only 'black marks' on my credit history I can muse of are my student loan (which is not supposed to affect your credit rating), and an unauthorised overdraft 5 years ago, due to the theft and fraudulent use of my debit card beside another bank.
Nationwide endow with no explanation of this refusal. I currently have my earnings paid into the rationalization, as I am living abroad and it is free to repeal money.
Does anyone have any experience of this problem? How can I find out why I am self refused? I hold tried to check my credit status online with Experian, but as I am registered living at my Mum's house surrounded by the UK, I do not have any bills contained by my name to prove my address.

Go to checkmyfile.com - they'll do a free credit check for you.
are you on electorial role? are you paying duty in the uk? do you live surrounded by a good centre of population? all these things affect their conclusion making.
your best bet is to apply for a current account beside a high street sandbank and stay clear of building societies.
did you know that even applications for credit "count" on your history. even negative responses are added to your report and are taking into consideration by future bank etc. Be careful! but capture your credit report from experian or similar... only costs lb2.
countrywide seem remarkably stringent on debit cards. they wouldnt give me one because of my previous collapse.
ok but for the fact I get one from the halifax and have credit cards presently.
Easy answer to this question.
You live in a foreign country and are not on the Electoral Roll here. Also if you only own a basic sandbank account beside them, I suspect you do not have any influential credit facilities anywhere within the UK, at least not ones that would show up on Experian.
You are not failing a credit rack up, you are failing a policy rule because they cannot identify you. Nationwide use electronic data documents for identification and you don't own anything identifying you at Experian so to adjectives intents and purposes you do not exist in the UK. In your circumstances you are feasible to find this with most lenders. Money Laundering regulations require at smallest two forms of positive ID, one confirming your name and date of birth, the other your address.
try yorkshire dune or co operative these have the lowest picture but you get a debit card
