My Credit Card Company Just Informed...? me that my credit card number was hijack and used today. They

me that my credit card number was hijack and used today. They have froze my tale, will issue me another account and will transport me an affidavit to sign. What else do I need to do? How do I protect my other accounts?
I would definately place a nickname to whichever banks own issued you cards, and check up on the status of those cards. They usually have a special "theft" splash that doesn't put you through the Push 1 for Billing Push 2 for Sales, etc.
Call the three credit bureaus and put a password to access credit.
You should be ok... Call your other credit card companies and let them know that there's a possibility they may enjoy been stolen as resourcefully if you want, but you should be able to monitor the purchases online. If anything weird and wonderful comes up, report it immediately. Also, achieve your free credit reports from TransUnion, Equifax and Experian (one every 4 months) to make sure nil out of the ordinary is on within in crust they stole your SSN too. Good Luck!
look on the back of your other cards and procure the number then nickname them right away ,let them know what have happened.
Immediately order copies of your credit report and produce sure that there are no unauthorized accounts unambiguous in your signature.
Freeze the credit report with adjectives the 3 credit reporting agency. go to http://www.freezecredit.org it's started from New York State.Keep the rationalization guard by paying a nominal fees per month.

Answers:    Did you phone them, or did they call you? Was this from an email? Did they ask for your credit card number to "verify" your information?

Unless you yourself dialed the number that's on the pay for of your card and know you were unquestionably talking to the credit card company, I would first verify that it is not a scam. Call your credit card company and verify. If it turns out it wasn't them who contacted you, and you own given someone else your info, immediately report the cards as stolen.

Next, bid the three credit-reporting agencies and ask them to attach a 'fraud alert' to all your credit cards.

Equifax: 1-8OO-525-6285
Experian: 1-888-397-3742
Trans Union: 1-8OO-680-7289

You are also entitled to one free credit report per year from respectively of these companies. It's a good impression to monitor your credit report regularly:
