Moving next to debt.? I live in the U.S. and I am considering moving to Japan

I live in the U.S. and I am considering moving to Japan within the subsequent 2 years or so. Problem is, I have 3 credit cards totaling just beneath $2,000 in debt and I'm paying off a coup¨¦ loan with roughly $7,000 to go. I suppose I can go the car, but does credit transfer? What steps should I thieve?

Answers:
Credit follows you. Sell the car, and pay it past its sell-by date. $2000 in credit card debt is nothing primary, keep making payments and try to save up some money to move to Japan. Japan is expensive.

Good Luck!
Credit reports and profiles do not verbs from one country to the next. When moving to a new country, you will own to start from a no credit profile.

Financial institutions may be willing to recognize your in advance credit history outside of a country or vice versa if you ask them to do so. This may involve, for example, requesting a copy of your credit report from the credit-reporting agency in the other country and sitting down with a branch officer to discuss your credit or loan application.
