I live in the U.S. and I am considering moving to Japan within the subsequent 2 years or so. Problem is, I have 3 credit cards totaling just beneath $2,000 in debt and I'm paying off a coup¨¦ loan with roughly $7,000 to go. I suppose I can go the car, but does credit transfer? What steps should I thieve?

Credit follows you. Sell the car, and pay it past its sell-by date. $2000 in credit card debt is nothing primary, keep making payments and try to save up some money to move to Japan. Japan is expensive.
