I'm looking to rebuild credit. I got an give from Merrick Bank for a VISA card. Are they reputable? What kind of experiences have you have with them?

I haven't had any problems beside them.
They always post my payments immediately and I attain regular credit limit increases from them without have to ask.

They can be either a prime or a subprime lender.

Prime - good margins, low interest, no annual fees
Subprime - low limits, high interest, annual fees. (if you bring this type, after a year of good history with them, you can request the annual payment be waived or reduced and the interest rate be reduced)

I got a Hooters card that is to say backed by them, basically for the gurgle factor. But it's turned out to be a pretty decent card
