No, not using it won't affect you one way or another. Since it's a line of credit that you could potentially use, it is attributing to your current ranking, though. I would call the card services on the back of the card though because if you don't generate a card and it just sits around with no stability, the company may close it out.
If you don't want to use it, cut it up. I would suggest leaving it open though. If you ever want to do some more shopping in that, or if you get a discount, you can always go and get another card. Many times, people wonder why their FICo score isn't as large as they think it should be. They've always remunerated on time, no problems. But...Some of these people bounce around from credit card to credit card for the introductory rates and close their frail account. You need to own old accounts with some history to them contained by order to improve that mark. Your scores suffer if you only own short history (1-2 years) with your accounts. Like I said, it won't hurt anything, just go away it open and cut the card up if you don't use it.
