i moved to canada, applied for car credit, equifax say i hold "thousands of dollars worth of credit", but i dont, I know equifax check on your sin number, is it possible i have someone elses SIN number

YES! That has happen to me. If ONE person enters the number incorrectly it will follow you for enthusiasm and cause a LOT of problems.
It sounds to me like you own a problem with identity theft. You call for to follow the procedures that Equifax tells you to follow to appeal your rating and file the proper paperwork, etc.

Saying that you enjoy "thousands of dollars worth of credit" sounds like a good article. If instead they said you had thousands of dollars of DEBT, that would be bad. And by regulation if you are turned down for credit then you also receive a copy of your credit report.
