I received a summoned dispatch stating that I hold be sued for the debt I owned on a credit card.? It says that if I do not respond contained by 20 days

It says that if I do not respond contained by 20 days from the date it was served, they will be forced to resolve against me. How should I respond to this?
Contact the number on the letter. See when and where on earth your court hearing is. Whatever you do- SHOW UP! If you do not later they will automatically put a judgement against you and they could very ably garnish your wages. Good Luck!
First of adjectives check to see if it is a legal court summons. Contact the court to verify this (you should find the court address, date of audible range and docket number) on the summons.

Next see how old the debt is. It may be time disqualified (beyond your states statute of limitations to take permissible action) To find your states SOL use the following link

If you find out that this debt is time debarred, then that would be your defense contained by court.

Some collection agencies have be known to transport official looking documents when they are not what they appear to be, which is unendorsed under the FDCPA.

If the summons is lawful then by adjectives means show up, don't skip the court date, they WILL win be evasion. You can work on a payment plan beside them which the court will accept.

Hope this anwers your query
