a debt collection agency. On my credit report it states I owe $4000. They went to court and file a judgement against me and they are saying I owe them similar to $6000 some dollars. I did not respond to the court hearing, I be going through Chemotherapy at the time. Now I am worried they will put a lien on my bank sketch. I am a single mom of 3 kids cause in attendance father was kill 2 years ago, and I can't afford for them to freeze my bank accounts. I live surrounded by PA and I know there is a 4 year term but what is that for? What should I do?

Start by contacting the company and explaining the problem. They may work beside you or they may make you accord with the collection company. Either means of access you need to address to them. They get dodged on a daily basis and will come down on the dodgers. I have have some past Credit card problems and soon widely read that if you talk to them they will work near you as long as you make arrangements to clear. That and communication are your best bets for working out an equitable solution. The collection company may have tack on an additional charge for "services". That may still be movable if you act soon. It's a tough place to be but I can enlighten you from experience it is not an insurmountable one. Good luck.
