I found a credit card on the ground, but with no other things to give me information on its owner. How do I draw from this credit card back to its owner, since I have no information besides the credit card itself to work next to? Who do I call, for example?

On the hindmost of the card, there is an emergency number to call they will direct you. will probably own you destroy the card and they will re-issue to owner.

As far as finding out who the card belongs to, there should be a toll free number on the back of the card for Customer Service. If you furnish them a call, I'm sure they will advise you exactly what you should do.

I would do one of the following if it be me.

1. There should be a phone number on the back of the card. Calling that number and explaining the situation should help.
2. If it is a debit card from a local wall, just return it to the bank.
3. Turn it within to a police station.

Many cards have an address on the spinal column to return it to the company that issued it in such cases. Honestly it would be fine to cut it up and dispose of it, because most people will report it lost/stolen anyways. If you really want to run the extra mile you can call the 1800 number on the bank and inform them that you found the card.

I agree with the other poster not offer it to the police. I would take it to the bank if at all possible otherwise I would just cut the card up and throw it away.

That is truly good of you. On the back it should have several where to call if "lost or stolen". If not only just call the company it self.

ugh i took one to the police station and they made me sit there and wait for hours and later asked me a bunch of stupid questions like i be a theif! more than likely it has be reported lost. you can call the bank. i chew over you could probably just cut it up though.

Just cut it up and get rid of it. Good samaritan you're self, even if you could find the owner, he'd likely call (or already enjoy called) to have in cancelled and replaced.
