I have unpromising credit and it is a personal loan but they want me to put down a security deposit of 1300.00 and to Western Union it to them and they will put the requested loan amount contained by my account inwardly 24hours-Does this sound close to a scam? Should I do this? they gave me a contract-is this legite?

It sounds resembling a scam to me. Never send money to anyone that you are not sure of. Countrywide is a concrete legit company, but 1300.00 down on a personal loan... i don't know about that. I did not know that you put money down on a personal loan. A mortgage loan yes. Be assiduous! Someone could be using Countrywides name.

IF YOU ARE BEING ASKED TO PAY ANYTHING UP FRONT, IT IS A SCAM.

There is no such thing as a "financial guarantee deposit" on a loan. They are not going to "put" anything at all contained by your "account".

If you gave them your bank details, I suggest you close that account at once because they will empty it.

The indisputable Countrywide is one of the largest lenders in the country, but they would NEVER ask you to Western Union any money to them.

Someone is perpetrate fraud. At a minimum, throw it away. If you're in the mood, liberate the stuff and contact the consumer fraud division in your state's Attorney General bureau (you can look this up - I can't help you because I don't know what state you live in).

If it be a phone call, and you own caller ID, write down the number, date, and time, and contact the AG's bureau.

But for goodness sake's, don't rope them a penny.

Scam, go to countrywides network site and please call nearby 1800 # expain to them some CON is using there entitle for a scam. Carma will be rewarded to you, it will help other folks within the future

I own heard of Nationwide, but not a Countrywide. You should check it out to form sure it is legitimate previously sending any money. Read over that contract over and over if you want, but definitely enjoy them checked.
