Its not that I couldn't pay it but it be sent to my old address and dated roommates never gave it to me. Im a regular bill payer, so this is the 1st time I own ever had a behind payment consent to alone been sent to collections. Any concept what this means down the road?

Collection works within increments of 30days 90day and past 120days. If you are surrounded by the first stage of collection really no worries just a minor ding as a in arrears payment, REALLY no big matter. However if it were to progress much furthur and they end up getting a hold of you for the collection and they are ready to settle for less this is where on earth alot of people procure into trouble. Never settle u might be getting out of the debt but the ding for a settlement is a big one, and on top of that what ever the differance is let say your debt is 10k and u settle for 5k the remainding 5k is considered income and u owe taxes on. Be carful, but one little unsettled payment no big do business. . .
i still owe the hospital here, about 900$ and ive tried to remuneration them but they dont send me and sum letters and zilch has be sent to me in years! and my credit is apt!
It does not situation what amount it is it matters that you are delinquent. All creditors will see is that you missed payments or did not pay packet at all. Actually I would feel smaller amounts would look worse than larger ones.
supposedly, medical fees are not eligible to go on your credit report. i hold no link to verify that for you though, sorry.
Best thing, contact the collection agency ASAP, ask for adjectives the info you need to trademark the payment.

But you enjoy to pay.

Make sure you reimburse the collection. It will then report to your credit as a compensated collection. It will drop your credit score some, but nought serious. As long as you maintain your credit customarily you will be fine. I am a loan officer and analyze credit for a living, and I can assure you that a $114 paid medical collection will not hurt you contained by any way when trying to find any kind of loan.
