Certified and such. Thanks Winner get 10pts. Thanks In Advance
ring up either verizon or the collection agency and set up a stipend plan. pay near checks if all possible. never money demand. checks are "documented" evidence that you have remunerated. always write what it is you are paying for within the memo element of the check. once you have remunerated it all sour, call the collection agency or verizon and ask that they remove any and adjectives bad reporting from your report, bug them over and over again, they will usually remove it at the double, believe me i know. good luck to ya
Pay times gone by due. Never let it lapse again.

Answers:    First - from everything I have read around Verizon, they will never delete (the pinheads)

The statute of limitations for collecting on a Verizon account is 4 years (UCC utility SOL)

If you are former the collecting SOL you are not legally bound to settle and you would have the permissible right to send them a SOL dispatch telling them the debt is no longer collectible.

If you are departed the collecting SOL and want to pay, man past SOL is surrounded by your favor in getting the collection agency to delete upon reimbursement. It would also be in your favor for requesting to pay cheque a reduced amount as payment within full.

If you are past the collecting SOL and the collection agency is aware that "you" know it, they will do doesn`t matter what it takes to capture paid on an uncollectible debt - such as taking a reduced amount and delete their tradeline upon payment. Even if you are still inside SOL, they usually make those deal.

Never speak to the collection agency by phone. Do everything by mail and convey everything certified mail return receiving. Never send return by check, always use money directions or cashiers checks.

Order your "paid" reports from each CRA. Don't use the free FACT-ACT reports or tri-merge reports.

IF both Verizon and the collection agency are reporting, Verizon must show a nil balance. If Verizon is reporting a set off, dispute it with the CRA's by e-mail.

When you use paid reports from respectively CRA, the CRA's have 30 days to investigate and an extra 5 days to communication the results. If you use the free reports, they have an extra 15 days to investigate. If you use tri-merge reports, you cannot be sure adjectives of the information on them is totally correct.

When you send a dispute to the CRA's, never-ever contact them for "anything" until any the CRA's have finished their investigation or the 35 days own passed, even if the CRA sends you a letter requesting more info. Contacting them for anything while have a dispute going will mean an extra 15 days added to your dispute.

Check your reports to see if the collection agency is reporting correctly (bet they aren't)

Send the collection agency a debt validation epistle.
When you get the green card posterior from the certified mail, profile a dispute with the CRA's for any vague info the collection agency is reporting.

When you receive validation from the collection agency, or 35 days since the time they signed the green card, and you are past SOL and don't want to discharge, send a SOL dispatch.

If you want to pay and it's still within SOL or past SOL, after you receive proper validation, transport them a pay for delete note. Let them know in the notification (that the account is previous the collecting SOL - if it is), that you are not admitting the debt is yours, but that you will reimburse upon them agreeing to your requests.
Request that they take a portion of the debt as salary in full, they will not try to collect, supply or trade the remaining amount. Request that they will delete any tradeline they have placed on your reports upon fee.

That's about as detailed as I can brand it on this site. There is just to much information to include everything.

I would suggest reading through the FCRA and the FDCPA earlier sending anything out. I have their links, and others you may find handy, scheduled in my profile.
telephone call the collection agency and tell them you get half of the bill and see if they will tender you a settlement. Pay by check so you will have a written receiving for yourself of what you paid. Take a memo and write down who you talked to what time and the confirmation number or quotation number. Also ask them when will you receive you receipt of compensation from them write down the date, if you don't receive it call them put money on with adjectives your info. If you still don't get any results speak to the head and write down his name and so on until you acquire results. I just rewarded off a matured cellure one bill the same agency.
