I started building credit, I guess, in January 08 by getting a small credit card. $300 credit limit from Capital One. Now I don't know how this works exactly but from my friends I've gather that it will take around 6 months for my credit report to actually show. Also, by applying for auto loans it cause my credit to get hit thus decreasing my credit score. I do not enjoy a co-signer as my parents are divorced and I no longer talk to them and have nobody parents or near family to give support to co-sign a car. I know, pretty unbelievable but its true! I borrow my gf's vehicle to work out of state (AL, GA, TN, FL) overnight in Home Depot. I make roughly around 3,000 a month. She take care of the baby and I foot the bills. It would be much easier to save money if we were both working objective I need to get my own coup��. I've tried Capital One and almost all the bs sites there are, what do I want to do? Also, I want, if possible, a nice car... newer w. few miles and exellent condition.

Answers: You may want to look into an affordable used coup�� instead of a new one. Check out edmunds list of lowest cost to own car's and see if you can find one contained by the classifieds near where you live.

As far as getting the loan, you may want to check out what's call "peer-to-peer lending". Basically, it removes the bank from the equation, and allows you to borrow from a community of private users. The interest rates are lower and a rejected loan is not put on your credit report.
