I had a charge bad from american express 20 years ago, would it still be in their the system. I own very pious credit now but hold applied for an american express fearing that I will be rejected Thanks

Answers: It may still be contained by their system... if you're concerned, why not try for another type of card (Visa, MC)? Most companies are required to keep history for so many years and financial institutions be some of the first to use computer technology. I don't know any that haven't transferred data from a "birthright system" (old, obsolete computer) for use surrounded by modern business. The only means of access to find out is to apply and see.
