because im going shopping on monday and i herd u gota wait for close to 5 days when putting check in bank.but i can't dally that long so if i go in the mound place and give a real being my check will they give me my money in change?

1st of all Monday is Memorial Day and banks will be closed (most anyway).

2nd if the check is more than $100 and you do not hold enough in your tale to cover it then yes, a bank can put a 3, 5, or 11 business time hold on the check in accordance with Reg CC.

Try a store that cashes checks or clutch the hit and take it to a check cashing store (ie Check & Go) it will cost you more but if you have to own the money what are you gonna do...

If you enter the bank that the check is drawn on (the sandbank name on the check), they are required to give you dosh. Be prepared to show ID.

If you deposit it into your account instead, you will have to lurk, especially if it is a personal check.

I had the same situation a few days ago. I get a check from a customer, went to their bank to bread it (Chase), and they told me i would have to take it to my dune to negotiate it. It is their policy NOT to cash the check if you don't have an statement there. I put it in my bank atm machine and I get an instant credit for the first $100. Happy shopping.
