My college is claiming I signed up for classes that I never signed up for...I have sent them my time card from work to prove I be at work and had HR write them a message saying we do not own internet access at work.my problem is none of this will be considered proof by them that I didn't sign up for the classes I also called and complained...I do not consider I should pay $700 for classes I didn't sign up for but I inevitability to protect my credit, what should I do?! HELP!

Answers:    Demand that THEY prove you did sign up for these classes. Without knowing which state you are in and whether it's a collection agency after you or the conservatory itself, I really don't have any more substantial warning to give. You might want to read up on Creditinfocenter.com and Creditboards.com, focusing especially on FCRA and FDCPA law.
When it is reported to the credit bureau, all you hold to do is dispute it , they have 30 days to respond or it comes past its sell-by date. The problem is, how do you know when it was reported and what bureau? You can spread out the 3 bureaus by doing one every 3 months or so, Their #'s are (1) Trans Union 1-877-322-8228 (2)Experian 1-8OO-509-8495 (3) Equifax 1-866-585-9451
