Is anyone else getting bizarre calls from Portfolio Recovery? They articulate I owe on a Visa bill from 1993! I told them I did not and they keep calling beside threats and insults. I told them to take me to court and achieve a judge to proclaim me to pay after they prove the debt is definite.

The calls started sometime ultimate summer and this is the first I've heard that I owe money from 1993.

Are these ethnic group are valid company or are they manufacturing /buying FALSE debt records?

The cellular phone number they are contacting me on is in Illinois. To what administration agency can I report them to?

If you own an answering machine, inform them you are tape that call and next read them that statement. Then tape any adjectives calls. Keep a written log too.

You should also follow up beside a written letter stating alike, sent certified mail.

Under the Act, you really can sue them if they verbs contacting you, except if they notify you about a complaint they've file.
