Ever hear of "Deluxe Lotto Gaming Commission"? just curious bcuz my boyfriend get a letter contained by the mail

just curious bcuz my boyfriend get a letter contained by the mail maxim that he had be included in a drawing for a lottery (sponsored by publishers clearing house) that he and 5 other relations won; they would be sharing 250,000. as a deposit they included a check for 3,500 dollars and asked that he contact them to collect the rest of his winnings.

the check looked to be a real check...it even have all of the fancy protection features. needless to speak, after checking into "lottery scams" on the internet i found that what they do is send you a solid check, with physical account numbers that they've scammed from other folks, to get you to trust them. subsequent they ask you for your account #'s and personal information so they can chain you the rest of your winnings. do NOT cash the check once you do you are one-sidedly liable for that money and you are leaving yourself get underway to having your identity stolen (dont even phone call them). take the check to your sandbank..they should be able to fiddle with it from there.

Answers:
Gotta be a big scam. I'm 110% sure it's a put-on check. Try clarkhoward.com for scam alerts. If you do play the lotto, do it in human being and don't use credit cards for any type of gaming. You'll lose in the train.
That sounds very habituated but you might want to look into it first. You don't want to end up human being scammed or anything.
