International Letters of Credit from Nigeria can be standard. However, not all bank are set up to deal within international letters of credit.

Check near your bank. If it does concordat in these forms of reward, it will have a protocol.

Your sandbank will obtain anything assurances it deems are compulsory to confirm availability of funds and the terms upon which the notification of credit can be accessed.

These are usually relatively specific and you will have to extraordinarily carefully run into every criteria established by the letter of credit.

Answers: Why? Is someone from Nigeria trying to send you money that you've won within a foreign lottery? Have they been trying to contact you so that you can claim your winnings? Are they offering to distribute you the money if you send them some sort of monetary incentive?

Probably not. Nigeria is home to more email scam that anywhere else in the world. If someone is offering to impart you travelers checks, money orders, or anything else from Nigeria don't do it. I contracted to play along and see what happened in the future and I got sent a stack of American Express travelers checks. They looked definite and could probably have be cashed almost anywhere. Problem was that they be fakes, so I would enjoy cashed them, sent the small portion of the total back to Nigeria near a good check and after whoever cashed it would have come knock or sent the police knocking to gain their money back once they tried depositing those checks.

Nigeria for a long time have had a "impossible boy" reputation. Home of a million Internet and bank scam and frauds.

One friend, his brother-in-law got burned beside a phony certified check from a bank within Nigeria. And I think every other American as a similar story or know someone been ripped stale like that.

Ten years ago Nigeria be the place to go if you needed to buy a death qualification for insurance fraud. The situation was so desperate coroners in the US would not adopt Nigeria death certificate unless the remains could be shipped back to the states for a second autopsy.

I would not adopt a letter of credit from Nigeria and I'm sure few bank would unless they could verify that the bank and the funds really existed.

I hold to ask why are you using a letter of credit from Nigeria? There are US bank in Lagos and you probably enjoy better results in this country if your missive of credit came from them.

I would not accept anything from Nigeria. It is a nation of scammers. I hear there is alot of fraud from nigeria, they will check that reminder of credit probably very throroughly. What would brand name you believe they wouldn't?
