I just wanted to know is it typical to have to pay a levy to activate a credit card? I was told if you enjoy to pay its a scam. Thanks in adavance.

It is a scam, but if you want to get a credit card, you got to bring back a debit card, and those cost money on every purchase and every month.

Its not a scam. Plenty of cards do that-- but it means that the terms aren't that great. if you hold a poor credit score this isn't that unusual. If you have a righteous score, cancel the card and find a better card beside a lower rate and no fees.

Some credit cards have an annual fee, but they shouldn't charge you to start your card~beware of greedy scammers!

you don't need to discharge anything to activate your credit card. it is just for warranty reasons that you indeed recieved your card and hence, the need to start it.

An annual allowance is normal, but an activation fee would be a scam. You better check the fine print, within is probably a high interest rate and some hidden fees you haven't see yet.

now, it is normal for some cards to charge an annual levy with the card but a fee to motivate is bad news. don't dissipate your money to activate a card. there are heaps options for credit that do not require a fee to simply get going a card. Hopefully you haven't done it yet. Take your money elsewhere!
