Do Credit Counselors Really Help? I'm not talking about consolidation companies. I'm conversation about the people

I'm not talking about consolidation companies. I'm conversation about the people who investigate your report and look for discrepancies and what not. I penny-pinching do they typically work as far as raising your score? what do they cost?

Answers:
Beware of companies that promise to lend a hand you re-establish your credit for a fee. Their ability to redeploy the information that appears in your credit file is no different than anyone else! Only your creditors are competent to alter this information. Therefore you do not need to pay a third jamboree to obtain, discuss, review or make change to your credit report. You have the right to access your information and make change to your file if there is an inaccuracy or if you want to include a comment.
You don't obligation a counselor. You need to get a copy of your report (free once per year) and determine if in that are any inaccuracies. You can correct inaccuracies yourself.

Go to the Federal Trade Commission's website and proclaim the report from all 3 bureaus. Again, it's free. Read it and determine what action steps are subsequent. [www.ftc.gov]
