Never give your financial information over the phone for anyone to be precise calling you. Hang up and call the credit card company fund, the number is on the back of the card.

yes. it's their method of making sure you are capable of paying the bills you'll eventually rack up. especially since you are trying to establish credit, they'll jump through a lot to clear sure you are qualified.
I suggest you call your guard and ask.
