Credit card fraud? last month thanks to my brother, my credit card be stolen...i

last month thanks to my brother, my credit card be stolen...i reported it stolen but they already had maxed it out in online shopping, i get payed back and all the concord was settled but my question is do they know who did it? will they folder charges againt them? can i find out who did it?

doubtful they even look..as it would cost more to find out who did it then it is worth. tho they may give it a moment or two time...they wont go far with it unless you can bring up to date them who stole the card.or who you think stole it.

sometimes these things go on 1/2 way around the world close to in africa, china, brazil. i'd say likelihood are slim to none they will find it esp if it is an individual person not a big organization (of crime). but reporting it may organize to tips to break up some organized ring.

I think you will find that unless the police already have a polite idea of who the person is, they will once in a blue moon investigate it. And if they do find them, it's the credit card company/store who will find out, since they were technically the person who be robbed.

This is why credit card fraud is such a fast growing crime. Only the extremely stupid ID thieves procure caught.

Depends on the amount. If it's over $1000 it might make them prosecute if they found the character since any propery stolen valued over $1000 is a felony.
