If it be a denial, it would say you were denied. Why would they string you along? You freshly need to wait.

most probably it ability you were approved and you will get the card surrounded by the mail within 10 days! otherwise it would be a note saying you were denied and the reason why and which credit reporting agency they used! with a score of 636, i can't see why you would procure denied! credit scores range from something like 200-850, so you can see that you are relatively high! if for some reason you are denied and acquire one of those letters, be sure to call the 1800 # down on it! when you are denied credit, you are entitled to a free copy of your credit report everytime! its nice to see what's on it, especially if they denied you! also, if you do get the card, i suggest calling up your other card that is secured and recounting them that that you got a regular card and that, unless they change your card to a regular, unsecured card, you will probably be cancel it! such cards are only good to build up credit so you can draw from a normal credit card! as a rule, any card offer that you return with that charges you an annual fee to keep it surrounded by your wallet, THROW IT OUT! if the apr is over 10% - 15%, THROW IT OUT! they are all garbage and will rape you on nouns charges and fees! your score is high ample that you shouldn't settle for anything but the best offers! and continue paying in good time and you will be up to 850 in no time! also, as far as any negative things on your credit report, please hold in mind that when a negative item is exotic on your record it will dock you somewhat severely for about the 1st year surrounded by your history, depending on the offense and the severity of the amount owed in question! after the 1st year, it largely will not affect your score as much and it will go spinal column up gradually! i am assuming whatever you are disputing, it is a bit old, since you claim your score is 636, which is soaring! items stay on your credit report for 7 years and then they are removed! so if you lose the dispute, do not worry! it is not affecting you much anyways! also, roughly speaking applying for new credit cards or any type of credit based statement : the credit reporters frown on opening too many accounts at once! it is worthy to open about 3 accounts per year, but do not budge overboard! or it will lower your score! and don't open them adjectives at once! the inquiries themselves are not bad! if you open too plentiful accounts at once ( i.e. multiple inquiries) they look at it as risky behavior! that you might be getting out of control and may eventually not pay it subsidise! well, i hope i have answered adjectives of your questions! if you need any more comfort or have more questions (i am a credit enthusiast and love talking about this stuff!), grain free to contact me at my yahoo mail! my addy is jlyn_420(a)yahoo.com added on! good luck! and congrats on managing your credit perceptively!

That's a pretty conventional response for many companies.
It does not mean any a denial or an approval.

Give them a call later this week and detail them that you are asking about the status of your application.

edit+++++++

Pulling your report is normal so they can see whats on it. It does not be set to approval or denial.

Like I said above, wait a few days and call them going on for the status of your application.

Just in case you do get hold of denied, though I hope not, always ask for a reconsideration. Be sure to request that they do it minus pulling another credit report.
Include how much you like their company and that you would like the arbitrariness to do business with them.
If what you said you are disputing is the reason for the denial, explain that item.
If you carry nowhere with that CSR, call backbone at a later time and speak to another or ask to speak to an underwriter.

Since I don't know what card company you applied for (or what other baddies are on your report) I can't right to be heard if that company would normally give credit near that score.

You might click on my profile and click on the last connect I have listed. Then look within the upper right corner (in the red bar) for CreditPulls and click on that.
Then put in the name of the card (or card company) that you applied for, click on N/A for the CRA's, don't click on a state - next click submit. It should bring up a listing that shows what scores relations had when applying for that card, if they were approved or not, how much of a credit boundary if approved, and many times, what kind of baddie they had on their reports.

It's a very huge, and free, data base and have many different cards listed. It is informational individual, you will not be spammed to apply for anything. The data base owner and the owners of the site work knotty to keep the sites spam free.
