A few banks that I own called will not approve me because of my credit. What can I do to "clear?" my credit or clear better so that they will approve me?

First, win copies of your credit reports from the 3 main reporting agencies. Check for inaccuracy or inconsistencies and dispute those with the reporting agencies and next to the companies that are reporting them to the credit bureaus.
If there are desperate debts or collections that are yours, and they are unpaid, you may be able to amend your credit status by paying them.
