Collections company threating fraud on me plus more...? I got a ring last week from a company I've never hear

I got a ring last week from a company I've never hear or nor gotten anything in the correspondence from. I have credit card debt out nearby and I fully admit that. Please DO NOT respond to this email next to a smark remark about "oh, of late pay your bills". We run into hard times and this be well over 10 years ago. Anyway, they call and told me that they were going to procure me on criminal charges because...and GET THISI made $10,000 MORE than what I put on my application!! Hello. If someone wants to attain a card really bad they're going to read aloud they make more and not really do it! I be a waitress at the time. She tells me that they'll issue a bench warrant for my arrest subsequent week unless I come up with $3800.00 by twelve noon the following day! AND she'll lone accept a check over the phone or credit card. She also call my mom and told her everything, which is illegal too. She afterwards said she could give me various someone who would loan me the money right now. This is wrong, right??
yes it is, the next time they telephone tell them that you are getting a attroney to see what he can do in the region of this. I know that there is a regulation that is to protect us from such stuff as this.
They are merely threatening you. There is no debtors prison anymore you wont go to lock away. Collectors will say anything to find someone to pay. If you want to return with rid of the debt go to a debt consolidator or set up a stipend plan. You can tell them you will bequeath them 10 dollars a month and they have to adopt that. As far as them calling your mom they can do that. They can call neighbors if they want to. The penal complex thing is a upset tactic so don't worry just about it.

Answers:    Don't verbs about it here is nothing they can do, in that is something called statue of limitations and i.e. the time frame in which they enjoy to sue. It is different for every state. I live in Missouri and it's 5 years, merely do a search on the Internet for it and you'll find your states. I wouldn't offer them a dime because if you do you are admitting the debt, it will progress back on your credit report and consequently they will have a arbitrariness to sue you. By the way the statue of limitations starts on the light of day your last pay was made, so that's why you don't want to pay cheque anything now because it will start adjectives over again. Just tell them to walk ahead and sue you when they call rear legs because your not giving them anything. They know the laws and are purely trying to scare you into paying.
If you bestow to pay them $20 or so dollars and they prohibit to take it ask to tell to their supervisor. I know here in Idaho i.e. considered paid surrounded by full. They have to adopt what you can offer. I own never heard of anyone getting arrested for unpromising credit. You might look in to it where on earth you are at.
First of all, collection companies notify a lot of lies to try to panic people into making desperate decisions. Paying sour an old credit card debt near a credit card? That's rich. All that does is help you extend your discouraging credit into the future. Whatever you do, DO NOT make available any type of payment over the phone. It could possibly be a scam.

Do you plan to repay the debt? If not, tell the collector that you will not settle the debt and not to call put a bet on. By law, they are prohibited to call you pay for. If they do, file bullying charges on them. If you do plan to pay the debt, contact the credit card company, NOT the collection company, and see if you can cut a buy and sell with them.
