Collection agencies, wrong number, how to prevent call? I've been getting call for the last two years for the former
Answers:
Not much you can do. The collector has your number and assumes it is correct. After adjectives, they are never wrong.
You think you are the just person to enlighten a collector he has the wrong phone number? They hear it adjectives the time.
If they will actually identify themselves, and pass you their name and address, you can try sending them a epistle with a copy of your phone bill (with your cross on it), and your drivers license (to prove your address). That may stop the calls.
But to be honest, your solely hope is change your phone number.
