Citi Credit rewards program? I just got permitted for the Citi(R) Diamond Preferred(R) Rewards Card, and

I just got permitted for the Citi(R) Diamond Preferred(R) Rewards Card, and I am just waiting for the package and details to come surrounded by the mail in a couple of weeks. I am a moment ago trying to get an idea of the rewards program though. I know that I receive 6,000 ThankYou(R) Points, and I earn 5 points for every $1 spent at grocery, drugstores & gas stations for 12 months, and then 1 point after that. What do these points actually bread out to? What is the Point to actual dollar rate?

Thanks for any help!

Plus, earn 1 ThankYou Point for every $1 spent on all other purchases2

Basically explains everything you want to know. It's a great card by the way and I just get $125 Home Depot gift card with 15,000 points if that help compare the point to dollar value.
You could check out adjectives of the rebates that you could redeed at thankyounetwork.com..good luck :)) The point to dollar rate can swing from company to company. You'll need to check the fine print or their website. Basically, it's an incentive to use their card over others that are in your wallet. One entry that you may want to consider is a situation where you may use your card for business. If your employer or client reimburses you for the charge, you also get to keep hold of the points. Just something to remember.

One other thing that you may want to check out is http://www.bestcreditcardinfoonline.com/... . They have lots of intersting information and tips on credit cards.

This card (and any other credit card) is not worth the trouble, my friend. I actually have the diamond rewards card for two years. I thought I was pretty slick by paying off the card every month and reap the so-called rewards. Then I wised up and learned that the only path to win with money is to control my spending and pay currency for everything. Why would I want to spend $25000 (= to 25000 citi points) to get a plane ticket? Even when you get the "free" ticket, you still hold to pay the tax and fees!
