this is a billing question, and I work at a hotelfront desk and I'd to some extent than ask here than any of my coworkers.:)

It would depend on the merchant agreement you have. If you supply the CCV number on the backbone, or (in my case) the address and zip code of the customer, that is to say proof enough for them to adopt the charge. If the customer challenges the debt it would later be up the the credit card company to cover the debt.

The key is doesn`t matter what your merchant agreement is. They all hold differant rules.
