Can some one let somebody know me if you own a copy of a contract which is not signed is it lawfully binding? This is Fitness first Gym, they are saying to me the copy

This is Fitness first Gym, they are saying to me the copy they enjoy has a signature on it and the copy I hold does not! Ive checked the application numbers and they match! They are trying to swindle 300 sour me after i cancelled my membership!
If you've never signed that copy they have and they've made it up that looks fairly bad for them if you ask me. Report it to Which! for example if they really annoy you.
Did you sign the contract. Your copy doesn't stipulation to be signed.
If you signed it, they have a bag.

Answers:    Ask to see the artistic - they can't refuse due to information protection laws - if they impose sanctions then they are breaking the tenet - if they do let you see it - merely say 'That's not my signature' - that'll screw them!

Fitness First are crap - they are also rumoured to be surrounded by financial trouble and so are trying all the tricks surrounded by the book to keep money coming surrounded by!

ADDED: but, as above - if you really did sign it then you can be held adjectives for the payment!
Ask to see a copy of the contract they hold, inspect the signature if it is yours, (and be honest, did you sign one??) later it might be legally binding and if so run to CAB who might be able to advocate how to get out of it. If it is not yours threaten to stir to the police and see how quickly they forget their lb300. And seriously consider reporting them as it is fraud.
Step ONE capture a copy of the contract, NOW
If you have not signed the copy of the contract they hold then it is not binding. Period.
If you signed their copy later it is a legally binding contract, if you didn't sign their copy afterwards it is fraudulent.
You singned it your binded, But does you contract have a see clause in it. If so what is the reversal fee. Because specifically only what you should be liable for not the owed devotion. The cancellation excise is what they want in place of the outstanding fees. Look at the contract and tolerate them take it to court as long as your in your contract agreement if it is signed or not ( meaning cancel before a solid date) then you should be alright. But i am no legal representative so don't use this as the "HOLY WORD".
