First off don't avoid them! Tell them respectively day your going through some difficulty and you plan to send money and you want and will reward your debt! NEVER say you won't pay envelope ,, or avoid calls ,, they will carry nasty speedy! Send them 20 dollars per week ,, they will be more willing to work beside you ,, the more you keep contained by contact with them,, write down adjectives names of people you speak to . and dates,, etc.. they can be shady and the will play rugged ball !! Or you can simply say screw um ,and do nil ,, they then will out weigh the cost of taking you to court to your over adjectives debt,, this will kill your credit but sometimes it's the simply way! Credit cards suck ,, we adjectives need to rid of em!!

I am guessing you plan form the credit card companies, not from the yahoo community.
You can call them, and make clear to them you are having difficulty paying your bills, and see if in attendance is anything they can do to work with you. They may lower your interest rate, or do something similar to that.
If there is nought they can/will do for you, there are agencies that will work near you, or on behalf of you, to get your payments lowered. Some are free, BUT, they may lower your credit chalk up.
