I'm ready to get a credit card. I've applied for a few online, and I enjoy gotten no responses at all. It's getting a bit frusterating. Why is it taking them so long to respond, and does anyone have any suggestion on getting a credit card?

Don't. I have had one since I be 18. I haven.t used it for nearly 5 years and I am still paying it off. Credits cards and store cards are the worst thing contained by the world. I really regret getting mine.

It's your first credit card, so you're probably being denied for insuficent credit. It's one of the lock in 22s. If you don't already have credit, you can't get it, but sometimes citizens are lucky are were able to slip through that. I get approved for a credit card when I took out a student loan to pay for my college. But, you shouldn't do that, just to obtain a credit card. You have to build up your credit somehow though. I think the first point to do to build your credit would be to apply for a couple of gas cards.

Some of those companies require some proof for your credit history. They may want to see how your earlier experiences with bank went, if you pay ur due amounts regularly...etc

Personally, i dont trust any company on the internet, especially beside something this important(financial wise)... So i recommend that you go to a bank or a credit card company and apply for your credit card instinctively and take the contact information of the person who help you in opening the depiction, this way, you can track your application closely.

Advice:

I personally recommend you to check and compare a couple of credit card offers before choosing one. The things to check for are:

- Interest Rates
- Minimum Payment Percentage
- Annual Fee
- Any optional charges (this is the most important point because they always charge you for stuff you dont know in the region of or havent subscribed to)
- Number of interest free days that you can wait before you settle your pocket money (my bank gives me 52 free interest days to settle my transactions)
- Additional offer that you might get with the credit card

P.S: MAKE SURE YOU PAY YOUR DUE AMOUNTS CAUSE INTEREST ACCUMILATES AND INCREASE REGULARLY!! :))

You are caught in what is call a catch 22. You have to hold a credit history to get credit, but if you have no credit, how do you build a history!

Well the first entry that you do is apply for a credit card like Victorias Secret. They will approve new borrowers. You will probably carry a 200 credit line.

Then you apply for Capital One and they have a exotic credit program.

The next option is to move about the secured card route, which I recommend to my clients, as this is the fastest way to build a credit score (SEE FICO.COM)

If you do this, you will later need to male a purchase on respectively card and pay doulbe payments for 6 months. After you do this for 6 months, you can buy a car, or anything you want!

One: applying for credit online is a risky business, taking into account the scam involved.

Two: The more you apply to, the more points you get on your credit record. Don't hang on to applying! 7 max!

Three: Obtain your credit record from Equifax and Transunion (should be free, and available online). Do you have a mortgage? a coup�� payment? Simple rule: Mortgage looks good, sports car payment looks bad.

Four: No Credit = desperate credit. You probably know this. Consider applying for a credit card with a credit union! They dispense out cards to anyone (not to say you are just anyone).
