Just found out that my lawyer has not discharge a my bankrupty and requirements some owed money. My falt. I want to get the discharge dated years ago so I don't have to hang about another 6 or 7 years to clear my now good credit history. Is this endorsed and can he do this for me??

Did you owe him from 5 years ago and just never compensated the balance? This is bazzar.... First let me relate you that the bankruptcy begins on your credit at the time of file.... so when it is discharged it is automatically dated from the time of filing. Usually the attorney will file the debts near the trusty before you have him remunerated in full just to obtain things started. Since the laws have changed, you may own to go through counseling and present a certificate to the courts within order for them to discharge it.
Pay off your attorney asap!! Your credit report is going to show the date of dicharge and there is nothing you can do more or less that, but, it will also show the filing date. Your good credit history after file is the key to cleaning up your credit. I have file twice in my lifetime and can write a book about credit... your current on the dot payments will clean up your credit so don't worry more or less that. It takes 10 years for the bankruptcy to come sour your credit report. 7 years before you could file again and you can simply file bankruptcy 3 times surrounded by your life so let this be a lesson you don't enjoy to learn again.

Not sure just about Canada but in the US, the court is the entity that sets the discharge date. Your lawyer files the paperwork and keep the process going but it is the court that sets the discharge date.

Man, why doesnt he just let it jump rather than trying to get blood from a stone. I be a sign of most of them dont do any real work anyways, they just show up within court and read what someone else wrote for them. If it was some huge case and you owe MEGA $ after I can kinda see him wanting that money but he should just let it run.
